Bank customers warned of fraudulent e-mail

A new phishing scam has been sent to MU e-mail accounts, according an MU Division of Information Technology e-mail. The sender claims to be from Boone County National Bank, but this is not a legitimate message.

Recipients are urged not to respond to the message, which tells readers to call an 800 number to fix an urgent account issue. This number is not associated with Boone County National Bank and any information given could be used fraudulently.
