Water shoots up out of the ground, soaking 4-year-old Kylie McKay at Columbia’s unique new water park which opened to the public Thursday. The “sprayground” at Stephens Lake Park features 7,000 square feet of water elements.
CORRECTION: This article has been updated to correct the size of the sprayground.

With every new addition, the Stephens Lake area becomes more artificial and less natural. Please, City of Columbia--stop developing it. It's not a pool, its not a water park--it's a natural lake in a lovely green space. If you want a cement-covered, fake water park, please create it somewhere else.
