COLUMBIA — A woman told police that a man attempted to use a mirror to watch her change at a Columbia department store over the weekend.

At about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the 22-year-old woman was trying on a dress in a Target fitting room when she noticed that someone in the next stall had slid a mirror under the fitting room wall, Columbia police Capt. Brad Nelson said. When she noticed the mirror, she immediately left the stall and saw a man walking away, Nelson said.

Target security attempted to stop the man but were not successful, Nelson said.

Police described the man as between 30 and 35 years old with a goatee and glasses. His hair is ear length, black and bowl-cut.
