Columbia College wins NAIA Region V Softball Tournament

For the second consecutive season, the Cougars are NAIA Region V Tournament champions. Columbia College defeated Central Methodist University twice Friday to win the three-day, eight-team tournament in Springfield, Mo. The Cougars beat CMU 3-1 in the first game and 7-6 in the second game. The Cougars won an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament and a No. 12 ranking in the country. Cougar pitchers Valerie Teter and Katie McMahon both received wins.
