Long-term energy plan update meeting

COLUMBIA — The Power Supply Task Force will address questions on the status of its plan for Columbia’s long-term power needs Wednesday night. The meeting will review findings on future electric supply options and programs to reduce energy needs outlined in the interim Integrated Resource plan, which is intended to provide information about cheap and reliable energy options for the city.

“This meeting will be a mid-project update to alert the public of how the task force is coming along,” said Connie Kacprowicz, spokeswoman for the Columbia Water & Light Department.
