LOS ANGELES — A St. Charles County woman indicted for her alleged role in a MySpace hoax against a 13-year-old neighbor who committed suicide will be arraigned June 16 in Los Angeles.

A spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office says 49-year-old Lori Drew does not have to surrender to authorities in Missouri.

A federal grand jury indicted Drew earlier this month on one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to get information used to inflict emotional distress on her 13-year-old neighbor.

Drew allegedly helped create a fake account with the online social networking Web site to convince Megan Meier that she was chatting with a teenage boy.

The girl hanged herself at home in October 2006.
