First homicide of year reported in Columbia

COLUMBIA — Nathaniel Bentley, 22, was pronounced dead early Tuesday morning from an apparent gunshot wound to the head, Columbia Police said in a news release.

Bentley was found in a duplex at 3610 Pimlico at approximately 12:52 a.m. and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Multiple witnesses were inside the duplex at the time of the shooting.
