COLUMBIA — GetAbout Columbia is organizing a “Best Routes to Campus!” guided bike ride at 6 p.m. today at Twin Lakes Shelter, 2500 Chapel Hill Road.

The activity is meant to teach bikers new ways to get to campus on a 15- to 20-mile bike ride, according to the GetAbout Columbia Web site. The ride will take approximately three hours. Participation is free.

“All you need is a bike and a helmet,” said Robert Johnson, bicycle education coordinator at the PedNet Coalition.
