Man arrested on burglary and stealing charges

COLUMBIA — A man was arrested on burglary and stealing charges after three young women found him in their kitchen eating their food early Thursday morning, according to a Columbia police news release.

Don L. Warren, 34, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary and stealing, the release said.

At about 4:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to a house on Dehaven Drive for a report of a man unknown to the residents inside the home. The residents reported that the man was eating their food in their kitchen. Upon arrival, officers located the man and took him into custody, the release said.
