COLUMBIA — Columbia Peace Coalition will host a Pastors for Peace program June 25 in the parish hall of Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. Ninth St.
Pastors for Peace, a branch of the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization, began in 1988 “to pioneer the delivery of humanitarian aid to Latin America and the Caribbean,” according to its Web site.
Its stop in Columbia will be one of many before the group heads to Cuba in mid-July.
The program, which begins at 6:30 p.m, is open to the public and will feature a potluck dinner as well as Caribbean, Bolero, Latin and Cuban music performed by Eco Gitano and members of Los Desterrados. There will also be discussions about Cuba.

I think the event is to raise awareness to end the blockage to Cuba.
