Constitution Party to appear on Missouri ballots in November

JEFFERSON CITY —  Missouri voters will have a fourth political party to choose from on the November ballot.

The secretary of state's office said Thursday that the Constitution Party has gathered enough petition signatures to qualify a slate of 18 candidates for the general election.

The Democrat, Republican and Libertarian parties are already assured spots on the ballot because at least one of their candidates received more than 2 percent of the statewide vote in a previous election.

The Constitution Party's presidential candidate is Chuck Baldwin. It's gubernatorial candidate is Gregory Thompson. The party also has candidates for three congressional races, three other statewide offices and several state House districts.
