Police still searching for suspects in May 7 armed robbery

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Police Department is still searching for two suspects in a May 7 armed robbery at 3100 Brown Station Road.

Capt. Brad Nelson said that police have exhausted all leads and tips.

CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the two suspects, according to a release from the department.

Aabout 2:05 a.m. on May 7, two armed men approached and stole some money from three men preparing to deliver newspapers, the release said.

Both suspects were described as black males, believed to be in their early 20s.

According to releases from the department, one suspect was described as 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, 220 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a dark bandana across his face. The second suspect was described as 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, athletically built, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a pink bandana across his face.
