COLUMBIA- Boone County and Columbia law enforcement officials were sent to the Rock Bridge Estates subdivision early Saturday morning in response to a large disturbance with weapons.

Deputies were told that 20-year-old Andre Lee of Columbia fired a handgun at a vehicle containing several children, following an argument about fireworks, a Sheriff’s Department news release stated. None of the shots hit the vehicle, and no one was injured.

Lee was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, seven counts of second-degree assault and six counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Bond is set at $63,000.
