Man arrested for videotaping “The Dark Knight"

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Grandview man was arrested for allegedly trying to videotape scenes of the new batman movie, “The Dark Knight.”

Lee’s Summit police last night arrested a 40-year-old man for illegally videotaping the latest Batman film, according to The Kansas City Star.

Police said officers were called about 9:40 p.m. to the Eastglen theaters, where security officials said they had caught the man making the bootleg copy. The man’s name was not released. He was released pending further investigation.

Police later obtained a warrant to search the man’s home and vehicle and found evidence of several illegal DVDs.

“The Dark Knight” set a one-day box office record with $66.4 million on opening day, according to Warner Bros.
