WESTON, Mo. — A Rushville man will spend 120 days in jail for driving his Jeep into a Weston church.

Daniel W. Singleton, 28, received the sentence Thursday in Platte County Circuit Court after pleading guilty in May to repeatedly striking the Weston Community Church of the Nazarene with his vehicle.

Judge Abe Shafer sentenced Singleton to five years on probation, during which he must pay $19,047 in restitution. Shafer also ordered Singleton to spend 120 days in the Platte County Jail followed by 120 days of house arrest.

Prosecutors said sometime between 10:00 p.m. on February 16 and 7:00 a.m. February 17, Singleton repeatedly drove his Jeep into the Weston Community Church of the Nazarene, damaging three sides of the building.
