I was surprised to read that some residents are “close to tears” and “screaming” about the prospect of having a trail built near their homes (7/18, “GetAbout Columbia proposals draw some support in Sixth Ward”). Why is a trail considered less desirable than a road, which they already have running immediately in front of their homes? It’s not hard to guess which of the two brings more people and noise past their homes.
In my case, the Hominy Branch Trail will be literally a stone’s throw from my home. Fine by me.
