Gunshots were fired last night on the 7400 block of Moberly Drive, wounding Clyde Jones, 21, of Columbia in the leg said Capt. Gary German of the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

Jones was taken by personal vehicle to University Hospital, where he remained in good condition this morning.

Deputies arrived just before midnight Tuesday and learned that several shots had been fired from a dark colored van driving along Moberly Drive.

German said there is nothing to suggest that the shooting was provoked at this point in the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Boone County Sheriff's Department or CrimeStoppers at 573-875-TIPS.
