City to shut off power to Daniel Boone City Building, parking garage

COLUMBIA - The city will shut off power at the Daniel Boone City Building at 701 E. Broadway and the parking garage between Seventh and Eighth streets on Walnut while contractors complete a power switch-over at City Hall, a City of Columbia news release said.

The outage will begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 15 and include the parking plaza elevator which will shut off at 5:30 p.m. and reopen on Aug. 16. The gate "arms" at the parking plaza will remain up to allow cars to exit, the release said.

The outage will last about four hours. The City Channel will also be off during the outage. For more information, call the Public Works Department at 573-874-7250.
