PrintCOLUMBIA - A 25-year-old Columbia man was shot in the back late Tuesday night while trying to drive away in his car after a shouting match, a news release from Columbia police said.
He was visiting a friend in the 800 block of Claudell Lane at around midnight when he and another individual got into an argument. At one point, the man said this individual pulled out a handgun and began shooting.
The man was struck as one of the bullets entered the vehicle, coming through the trunk, the release said.
