St. Louis shooting injures four

ST. LOUIS — Four people, including a 2-year-old girl, are injured after being shot while sitting on their porch in St. Louis.

All four are expected to recover. In addition to the girl, two women and a man were injured in the incident around 1:15 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the victims were on the porch when the shooter came around a corner and shot from 40 to 50 feet away. The suspect used a shotgun with bird shot for ammunition.

Police spokesman Harry Hager says that if the suspect would have used buck shot, a heavier substance than bird shot, the victims likely would have died.
