PrintWeiwen Wang and Julianna Klein nearly led the MU volleyball team to an upset of a top-25 team Saturday at the BYU Molten Classic. No. 20 BYU won 25-20, 19-25, 25-10, 22-25, 17-15 in the tournament championship game. Wang and Klein combined for 29 kills and were named to the All-Tournament team.
Earlier Saturday, Klein pounded 23 kills in the team’s 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 26-24 victory over Utah State. The Tigers finished 2-1 in the tournament. Klein’s total was three off her career best.
