Columbia College soccer team nets victory

Dylan Barduzzi scored twice and the Columbia College soccer team defeated No. 11 Berry College (Ga.), 2-1 on Saturday in Mount Berry, Ga.

Barduzzi scored on a ninth-minute header and a 20-yard shot in the 88th minute. Goalie Zach Clem recorded the first Cougars win of the season with five saves.

"I think it's great for a young team to get off to a great start against two difficult teams on the road," Cougars coach John Klein said. Columbia tied No. 20 Mid-Continent (Ky.) College, 1-1, Thursday.
