The Missouri women's soccer team shut out Eastern Washington 3-0 on Sunday at a neutral-site game at the University of California.
Junior Kristin Andrighetto, sophomore Alysha Bonnick and freshman Kelsey Blincow contributed a goal each for the Tigers. MU dominated the shot count, holding a 35-8 advantage and leading 6-0 in corner kicks.
The victory soothed a loss to the host Bears on Saturday, when the Tigers fell 3-0. No. 21 California scored in the 19th, 37th, and 86th minutes, and No. 22 Missouri was outshot 13-10.
The Tigers' Mo Redmond shot from the penalty box in the eighth minute was blocked by the Bears' goalie, and in the 25th minute Krista Kuse hit the crossbar.
On Saturday, the Bears honored Missouri coach Bryan Blitz for the Tigers' support of California's Jordan Lafontaine-Kussman, who survived Lymphoma. The Tigers wore pink uniforms in last year's 4-0 home victory.
The Tigers play next at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home against Vanderbilt.
