Two suspects sought in home invasion robbery

COLUMBIA — Columbia police responded to a report of an armed home invasion at 9:25 p.m. Saturday in the Gatehouse Apartments complex at 2401 W. Broadway.

According to the news release from the police, the apartment's resident, a 21-year-old female, heard a loud banging on her door, but before she could open it, two suspects entered the apartment.

The suspects pushed the victim onto a glass table and demanded money, according to the release, and they then searched the apartment and stole some cash.

The victim suffered minor cuts when the glass table broke. A 1-year-old child also present at the time was uninjured, according to the release.

The suspects are described as males with thin builds and are estimated to be 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 4 inches tall. They were last seen wearing black clothing and black masks. According to the release, one of the suspects was armed with a handgun.
