Police seek two suspects after armed robbery

COLUMBIA - A 26-year-old man was robbed at his home Thursday afternoon in the 5000 block of South Providence Road, a Columbia Police Department news release stated.

The man told police he was at home when he heard a knock at his door. When he answered it, a man holding a gun appeared and ordered the resident back inside the house while a second man entered the home, the news release stated.

The men stole several items and the resident was not injured, the release stated.

The first suspect is described as a male, between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds and wearing a red shirt with writing on it.

The second suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall male, weighing 180 to 190 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and dark short pants.

Both suspects were carrying guns.
