ST. LOUIS - Lambert Airport in St. Louis said it will shut down a runway to hold an emergency drill exercise.

The runway and the Lindbergh Tunnel that runs beneath it will be shut down beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday into the afternoon.

The drill will involve pretend crash sites of a regional jet, a military jet and a multi-vehicle crash in the tunnel. It gives emergency responders a chance to train for actual emergencies.

Lambert says such drills are required every 3 years by the Federal Aviation Administration.
