COLUMBIA — Madeleine Albright, the U.S. secretary of state during President Bill Clinton's second term in office, will visit Columbia on Thursday to talk foreign policy in a town hall-style forum at MU.

Albright, the first female secretary of state, is scheduled to speak from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Jesse Wrench Auditorium in MU's Memorial Union.

Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign is sponsoring the event. Kelley Robinson, an Obama spokeswoman in Missouri, said she didn't know whether Albright would speak mostly about her experiences or use the event as a chance to stump for the Democratic presidential nominee.

The free event is open to the public, and will hold a maximum of 220 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
