DARDENNE PRAIRIE - A woman facing charges for her alleged role in a MySpace hoax on a 13-year-old neighbor has sold her house.
Lori Drew told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Thursday that her family is moving out of their Dardenne Prairie neighborhood in St. Charles County.
The 49-year-old did not say where they were moving. A federal judge in Los Angeles is considering a motion by Drew's lawyer to dismiss charges of conspiracy and illegally accessing MySpace on computers to inflict distress. Drew has a trial set for Oct. 7.
She is accused of helping create a false-identity account on the social networking site against her teen neighbor, Megan Meier.
Drew, her teenage daughter and another teen allegedly took part in the hoax, in which Meier received cruel messages shortly before she hanged herself in 2006. A phone call to Drew's lawyer seeking comment was not immediately returned.
