This is a surveillance photo of the suspect in the robbery of the First National Bank on North Stadium Boulevard. He is described as being in his 50s, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall, having a thin build and a scruffy beard. Police believe he is the same person who robbed the Boone County National Bank on West Broadway on Aug. 29. The police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.

Police are looking for the man who robbed the First National Bank at Ash Street and Stadium Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon. They believe he is the same suspect being sought in connection with the Aug. 29 robbery of Boone County National Bank on Broadway, according to a release from the Columbia Police Department

The man is described in the news release as white and about 5 feet 6 inches tall in his mid-50s with a thin build and scruffy beard wearing a dark colored or green T-shirt and a Bass Pro hat.

At about 4:17 p.m., the man passed a note to a bank teller demanding money but did not show a weapon. He left the bank on foot with an unknown amount of cash, Sgt. Ken Hammond of the Columbia Police Department said.

No one was injured, and no customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery.

Police are canvassing the area and interviewing the bank tellers. Police plan to view surveillance tapes soon, Hammond said.
