MU grad keeps on singing on "America's Got Talent"

Wednesday, September 24, 2008 | 12:22 p.m. CDT

Last week, judge David Hasselhoff said Neal Boyd is a front-runner to win it all on the prime-time  television show "America's Got Talent."

Boyd, a 2001 graduate of MU and a Sikeston native, will perform again on the show at 8 p.m. Wednesday on NBC.

Boyd has done well on the show, singing mostly opera — a love he discovered helping his brother with a school project.  After last Wednesday's performance of "All By Myself," Boyd found himself in the top five.

On Wednesday, the final five will perform, and the winner will be announced on the finale next week.
