COLUMBIA — No one was injured in a small electrical fire Monday morning at Hickman High School.

At 10:45 a.m., Columbia Fire Department crews responded to a report of a fire at the school. Upon arrival, fire crews found some smoke in the gymnasium and determined that the smoke originated from a utility service tunnel below the gymnasium floor, a Fire Department news release stated.

Firefighters extinguished a small fire in the pipe insulation below an electrical junction box located in the tunnel. Damage is estimated at $3,000.
