My thanks to J. Karl Miller, and also to Donna Jones, for voicing opinions in the Missourian about Sen. McCain's choice for vice president.
Personally I believe Obama and Joe Biden will make a very good team. Obama is very intelligent and has an attorney's credentials — whereas I don't think the other two do. Joe Biden has been such a reliable senator for so many years — and a very good one for that matter.
Sarah Palin is not really qualified. And with concerns about McCain's health and age, our fear is that we could lose him.
This country is very much in a mess, and it could blow one's mind to figure out what to do with it.
There was a federal budget surplus when Clinton left office in 2001, but President George W. Bush spent all of it as soon as he took office. My grandson remembers that.
I could go on and on but do not have the time for now.
Do you realize that if a relative of Obama was pregnant out of wedlock, he would be made the shame of the country? Donna Jones says if Palin could not control her daughter, how could she control our government?
I don't understand seeing her constant laughing and smiling when people are starving and when children and grown-ups are getting killed. This is a tremendous job for anyone to handle.
