ST. LOUIS — A 62-year-old St. Louis autoworker plans to buy a new home with part of the money and invest the rest after winning a $1 million Missouri Lotto jackpot.
Morris Smith is an inspector at Chrysler's truck plant in Fenton. Lottery officials said Thursday that he came forward to claim the Sept. 24 lotto prize.
Smith bought the ticket at Ferguson Amoco using numbers he has picked at random and used for several months - 11, 16, 19, 30, 37 and 38.
Lottery officials say 260 tickets worth $1 million or more have been sold since Missouri Lottery sales started in 1986.
