FARMINGTON — John Pogue spent time in prison for robbing a bank. When he got out, he robbed another one.
Now, the 41-year-old French Village man is going back to prison, this time for 12 years.
Pogue was sentenced Friday. He had pleaded guilty in August. His lawyer, Chris Klaverkamp, says Pogue is not a sophisticated criminal.
Pogue was sent to a federal prison for robbing a Park Hills bank in 2003. Not long after his release, the Desloge Commerce Bank was robbed in June.
Pogue was identified after surveillance video was released to the media. Police also learned he had put $1,000 down on a car in $10s and $20s that police identified as coming from the bank.
