JEFFERSON CITY — Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden plans four campaign stops in Missouri over two days this week.

His campaign said Biden will appear Thursday morning at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. He'll be at William Jewell College in Liberty on Thursday afternoon, and Memorial Park in Jefferson City that night.

On Friday, Biden plans to attend an event in Springfield.

All of the events will focus on the economy.

Last week, Biden was in St. Louis to debate Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin at Washington University.

Recent polls have shown Democrats Barack Obama and Biden about even in Missouri  with the Republican ticket of John McCain and Palin.
