JOPLIN — The upcoming Joplin School Board meeting is expected to include a discussion of tattoos on teachers.

Board members plan to discuss school dress codes at their meeting Tuesday, and the matter of visible tattoos on teachers is likely to come up.

Superintendent C.J. Huff said tattoos could become more of an issue as the district hires young teachers from an age group that's more comfortable with tattoos. Huff said Friday that more than one person has raised questions about teachers' tattoos with school administrators.
