What's the job: Boone County Sheriff

The Boone County sheriff’s duties include patrolling 684 square miles, responding to calls from Boone County residents and investigating reported crimes, according to the Sheriff’s Department's Web site. The sheriff also has administrative duties, such as serving criminal warrants and civil process papers issued to the Sheriff’s Department by the 13th Judicial Circuit Court.
