ST. CHARLES — A St. Charles County teenager received a five-year suspended sentence and was put on probation after pleading guilty in the death of his father.

Casey Doss of O'Fallon is now 19, but was a high school senior when the incident happened last year. He entered the guilty plea on Wednesday.

Authorities say Doss and his 58-year-old father, Larry Doss, got into an argument over the loud muffler on the son's car. The argument escalated into a fight, with both father and son tumbling down the stairs of their home. Larry Doss struck his head in the fall.

Casey Doss was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
