The Missouri women's golf team was fifth out of 17 teams Wednesday at the Price's Give `em Five Intercollegiate tournament in Las Cruces, N.M.
The Tigers improved from 10th after an opening round 309. They climbed to fifth with a second day 303 and a final round 296, an 18-hole fall best for the team, for a 908. UC-Irvine won with a 881.
The top finisher for the Tigers was junior Julia Potter, who was third at 217. It was the third top-three finish in the past four tournaments for Potter.
Missouri plays next on Oct 27 at the Las Vegas Collegiate. The tournament will be the team's last of the fall schedule before play resumes in February.
