COLUMBIA — Rumors of a campaign stop in Columbia by Sen. John McCain remain unconfirmed.

As of Sunday evening, McCain spokesperson Wendy Riemann could not confirm whether the Republican presidential hopeful from Arizona would be making an appearance in Columbia on Monday.

The Boone County Republican Headquarters and the Columbia Police Department also had no information on the possible visit.

McCain will be at a pair of rallies on Monday — in St. Charles at 9 a.m. and in Belton at 3:45 p.m.
