COLUMBIA — The Missouri tennis team had an impressive showing Sunday in the final day of the New Mexico Invite in Albuquerque, N.M.

In the final round of doubles play, every Tigers pair won their match. Jessica Giuggioli and Kaitlyn Ritchie defeated their opponents from Northern Arizona 8-4. Jamie Mera and Mallory Weber defeated a Kansas State team 8-4. Sofia Ayala and Maureen Modesto defeated a pair from host New Mexico 8-2.

Mera also won the Flight A singles championship, defeating Orsi Golovics of Northern Arizona 6-1, 6-1.

Weber and Ayala were set to play each other in the Flight B championship, but to avoid having teammates play each other, they were assigned different opponents. After both won, they were named co-champions.

Ritchie advanced to the finals Flight C, but lost to Petra Chuda of Kansas State 6-1, 6-3.

The tournament was the last of the fall season for the Tigers. They will resume play Jan. 17 at the Florida Coast Invite in Fort Myers, Fla.
