Man possibly stabbed near the Lake of the Woods

COLUMBIA — Around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Sheriff Deputies arrived at Boone Hospital Emergency Room in response to a victim who had possibly been stabbed, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim, a 28-year-old male, would not provide a statement to the deputies. However, an acquaintance of the victim indicated the incident might have occurred near the Lake of the Woods area, the release said.

Capt. Gary German said there is no further information to release, mainly because “the victim was uncooperative.”
