PrintCOLUMBIA — The Callaway County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday around 3:20 a.m. at The Stage, an after-hours club located off State Road J and Interstate 70 at the Millersburg exit.
Two victims, both of Columbia, were shot and taken to University Hospital. As of 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jimmy Springer, 30, was listed in fair condition and William Joplin, 30, was listed in good condition. Both are expected to recover from their injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time. The Callaway County Sheriff's Office and Columbia Police Department are seeking people of interest.
The Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The Stage had been leased out for an after-hours party. Most of the people at The Stage on Sunday morning appeared to be from Columbia.
