Columbia to host alternative trick-or-treat event

Hearnes Center will hold the Tiger Fun Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween

COLUMBIA — On Oct. 31, as a substitute to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treat activities, a Halloween Night of Fun will take place at the Hearnes Center from 6 to 8 p.m.

It's a safe, family-friendly event targeted at children sixth grade and under. Festivities will include various Halloween activities including candy givaways and an assortment of themed games. The event is hosted by Columbia Parks and Recreation, MU athletics department/Hearnes Center, KPLA/101.5 FM and Wal-Mart.
