COLUMBIA — In preparation for MU's homecoming game on Saturday, sororities and fraternities decorated the buildings of downtown Columbia. (View more pre-homecoming game photos here: PHOTO GALLERY: Homecoming tradition continues)

Campus Bar and Grill, Starbucks Coffee, and Noodles and Company are a few of the businesses participating. Each sorority and its corresponding fraternity is assigned a business to decorate its windows.

Kasey Holdinghausen of the Chi Omega sorority was in charge of the design for Noodles and Company. She chose the theme "Scaring away the competition." She says she chose this theme because Halloween and homecoming are both approaching. She and her housemates decorated the restaurant with a Truman Tiger scarecrow and other Halloween and Mizzou objects.

Amanda Klohmann of Delta Gamma was in charge of the Campus Bar and Grill window designs. She planned for lots of tiger stripes and Mizzou spirit. The groups gathered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and planned to work until 4:30p.m. when the judging began.
