COLUMBIA — The MU School of Journalism and the National Press Club will be teaming up to hold a forum that will discuss the future of journalism.
The NPC Centennial Forum on the First Amendment, freedom of the press and the future of journalism will take place at noon Monday at the Fred W. Smith Forum in the Reynolds Journalism Institute. It is open to the public at no cost.
Journalists Charles Davis, Jennifer Reeves and Tony Messenger of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Elizabeth Merrill, a columnist for ESPN.com, will be featured as panelists at the forum. The panel will be moderated by veteran journalist Gil Klein.
A preview of the National Press Club's centennial documentary that depicts the history of journalism will kick start the event. Those who attend will receive a copy.
