Man robbed outside Holiday House Apartments

COLUMBIA — Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Holiday House Apartments on Friday night. 

The victim, a 60-year-old man, told police he was approached by two men at 8:37 p.m. in the parking lot of the apartment complex, located at the 100 block of N. Stadium Blvd., according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

According to the release, one of the suspects had a handgun and ordered the victim to lie on the ground. The other suspect then searched the victim's pockets and took an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects then went to the victim's car and took valuable items from it, according to the release. During this time, the victim was able to flee on foot and call the police.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and the other as a black male, 6 feet tall. Both weigh approximately 170 pounds and have short black hair, according to the release.
