COLUMBIA — Missouri sophomore swimmer Cameron Sellers was named the Big 12 Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Month, and Tigers freshman Jordan Morcom received the Big 12 Women's Diver of the Month honor.
Morcom swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in Missouri's meet this month at No. 9 Texas A&M, and won the 3-meter event in the Big 12 Relays while teaming with senior Kendra Melnychuk.
Sellers won the 200 free and 500 free in the Tigers' victory over No. 18 Texas A&M.
Morcom returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday when the women's team hosts Kansas.
Sellers and the men's team swim Nov. 7 against Southern Illinois in Carbondale.
MU WOMEN'S GOLF: The Tigers shot a 291 on Wednesday to finish the Las Vegas Collegiate in 14th place with a socre of 872, its best 54-hole total of the season. Junior Michelle Morgan was one of four Tigers to shoot her best three-round total of the year. She paced the team with a score 217 for 35th place.
COLUMBIA COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: The Cougars won 25-19, 25-18, 25-17 on Wednesday at Illinois-Springfield .
Slazia Lino led the Cougars with 16 kills, and Maria Omondi added 11 kills and seven blocks. Senior setter Luano Branco had 36 assists.
The Cougars next game is Saturday at home against William Woods.
