LETTER: Hulshof ad is inaccurate

Thursday, October 30, 2008 | 2:50 p.m. CDT

Kenny Hulshof, Republican candidate for governor of Missouri, claims to possess absolute moral clarity. However, in a television ad which ran early this past summer, he claimed that his father never finished school and "never made money."

In March of this year, the Associated Press reported that Mr. Hulshof is the wealthiest of the Missouri members of the U.S. House of Representatives. His primary asset is a farm inherited from his father, valued at between $1 million and $5 million.

Maybe that's not that much money for Mr. Hulshof, but to most Missourians, it is a great deal.
