COLUMBIA — A 40-year-old Columbia man said he came home Friday night to find two men leaving his residence, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

The victim, who lives on the 100 block of Elk Drive, said he saw one of the suspects carrying his assault rifle out of his home. He also discovered that the suspects had piled electronic items and other personal items from his home in his backyard, according to the release.

Police later arrested Cory A. Foster, 20, on suspicion of first-degree burglary and resisting arrest after the victim identified him as one of the suspects.
